Intro

Glory to the Ancient of Days! Glory to the Most High.

I am a Christian, a father, a husband, and an introvert. I am a sinner. I am redeemed by the blood of Christ.

I read the Bible, but probably not often enough. I want to say that I pray every day, but I don’t. I should. I kick myself repeatedly over my mistakes and my imperfections.

I have asked for forgiveness more times that I can count.

I place my hope in the risen Jesus because I am jaded by this world. I was told not to be, but I am anyway. (Colossians 3:2.)

Jesus told me to deny myself and take up the cross daily, but I have failed so many times to do that. (Luke 9:23.)

I am not afraid of losing my salvation. But I am afraid of being useless to God. (Matthew 25:21.)

I was told to contend for the faith earnestly. (Jude 1:3.) But am I really?

I am often saddened by my inertia.

But when I pray, I always ask for forgiveness.

When I am forgiven I am renewed with Hope. (Romans 12:12.)

When I have Hope I can go on a little longer.

What works I have done I have strived to let them be borne of faith, so that they are acceptable to God, to endure testing by fire, and not be fit only to be burned as wood, hay and stubble. (1 Cor. 3:11-3:15.)

I have thoughts on the Word, verses and affirmations that have sustained me, guided me, or simply made me think. Affirmations from the Most High, or the Ancient of Days.

I now wish to share. Many, many others have shared theirs.

I will share with you what I have thought about and WHOM my thoughts dwell on. I will testify to his great and extraordinary works and what HE extols all of us to do – what He extols me to do…

His name is Jesus, and He currently sits at the right hand of the Father in Heaven. He was born of a virgin, but existed at the beginning of the world, and died in accordance with Scripture. He was buried for three days and rose again in victory. He will come again.

If you are not saved, get saved. It costs you nothing.

Every Christian is different but belong to the same body, the Church. We all found Jesus by different roads, but now we walk the narrow path together.

It is not a religion. It is a personal walk, a relationship with the Creator of the universe.

Your life does not get “easier” upon conversion…..but you will feel (in your bones) what true freedom is. You will feel the kindling of the fire given to you by the Holy Spirit. You will feel His light shining in you.

You will see the world in a different way. You will think differently. You will change your habits.

You will go to Heaven. You will avoid Hell. As Christ increases within you, your old self will decrease.

You don’t have to be burdened by anxieties, worries, stresses, politics, or fears anymore. You can give everything to Him. He’ll either get rid of it or help you carry it.

You will make it across the finish line.

You will realize that whatever happens to you in this life doesn’t matter as much because your mortal life is just one part of existence. You have an Eternity to look forward to! You are even invited to enjoy the hardships you endure on His behalf because it builds you treasures in heaven. (Matthew 19:21.)

In the end, it’s you and Him.

You have the privilege of making that choice. It’s your choice. Not His. Not even God can make you choose Him.

Were you even aware Almighty God, Creator of everything, is limited by YOUR choice? He sees everything. (Proverbs 15:3.) He knows everything. (Jeremiah 23:24.) He even wrote out the future of mankind through prophecy. Yet with all His power, He cannot force your hand. He WILL NOT force your hand.

Without free will, Love is impossible.

The summit of your entire existence will revolve on whether YOU choose the Lord.

He hopes you choose Him. He yearns that you stop what you’re doing and make that decision. He is saddened because He knows that not everyone will choose Him.

If you make the decision to serve Him, I promise its easy.

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. (Romans 10:8-10:11.)

Would you pray now?

Say it out loud:

God, I am a sinner and I seek forgiveness. I come to you now and ask that I be forgiven of my sins and washed with the blood of Christ. Forgive me. I believe that You sent Your Son, Jesus Christ, to die for my sins on the Cross. I believe that Jesus is Your Son, who died, and was resurrected.

Come into my heart and save my soul. Make me a new creation. I give my life to You. I give my anxieties and worries to You. Fill me with the Holy Spirit. Fill me with HOPE and by Your grace I AM SAVED.

Amen and Glory to the Ancient of Days! Glory to the Most High!

Start building your new life. Your walk with the Lord begins now.

Read the Bible. Pray.

Find fellowship with believers.

Most of all, rejoice.

You have made the greatest decision of your life.

Welcome to the faith and your new family in Christ.

And if you don’t mind, let me pray for you now:

My Lord in Heaven, fill this new Christian with the glorious hope and joy that only comes from Your grace and salvation. As You promised all of us, whoever believes in You is a new creation, and old things are passed away. Under Your grace, we are all one Church. Come into this person’s life and establish their steps. Their faith is new and their curiosity for the Word will be great. Lead them into a grand adventure of knowing You. Protect this Christian and surround them with the love of the Church so that they may be encouraged in the faith.

We pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

God bless you in your new life in Christ. One day we will meet in Heaven, if not sooner.

I treasure you, my new brother or sister.

Praise Jesus we found each other.

Remember at the beginning when I said I lagged as a Christian? That happens sometimes to believers, but it’s never permanent.

When you read about the New Testament saints, you will see their joy of the Lord, but also their low moments. It’s important that you see their hard times as well as their good times.

As you mature in the faith you will have good times and bad times too. It’s important that we share those times with God as well as each other. Our hardships make us better Christians. It teaches us to love better.

Somewhere, some day, you might encounter someone going through a hardship that you are familiar with. That will be the moment you pass on your wisdom and experience to that person. Let them know that they do not suffer alone. Love.

We must provide example to the world that if we fall, we can always get up with Christ’s help.

I hope this blog helps you. Thank you for giving me a couple minutes of your time.

May the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
