In November 2020, I wrote a post called “Motivational Bible Quotes for Patience in a Wicked Age.”
I wrote it because, like you, I was frustrated with the state of the world and our country leading up to the 2020 election. (I had no idea what was coming up after that, but I knew it wasn’t going to be good.)
Now it’s 2021 and things are more or less staying the same, which isn’t good, but the lesson from the previous post remains the same. Have patience.
Consider this:
For evildoers shall be cut off; But those who WAIT ON THE LORD, They shall inherit the earth.
(Psalm 37:9, NKJV)
Who are those that wait on the Lord?
They are:
- The upright. (Proverbs 2:21)
- Those who take refuge in the Lord. (Isaiah 57:13)
- The righteous. (Isaiah 60:21)
- The gentle, the meek, or the humble. (Matthew 5:5)
- The just. (Psalms 37:12)
The Lord knows the days of the upright, and their inheritance shall be forever. (Psalms 37:18)
With all the terrible things in the world and in the days ahead, always always always remember the Long Game.
The Lord is patient with us and so we must also be patient and wait for the Lord.
May our inheritance be great.
The Lord shall return and we shall be caught up with Him and we shall see Him as He is.
We have some fights left in us.
Till the return of the Lord, be patient, be upright, and wait on the Lord.
